Christmas Cookies

We had a couple days off from school so to keep the girls entertained we made and decorated sugar cookies. A good time was had by all, ha!

Zoey was very detailed with her sprinkles. Delaney, not so much. Most actually went into her mouth.

She is such an animal!

Oh yes, Zoey got her hair cut too.

Snow fun!

We finally got some snow and a few days off from school to enjoy it! The had a blast out in the yard and sledding on the driveway piles. Yes, the girls are wearing the same snow suits as last year. They were a little too big and now they are a little too small. They will work for this year though.
Taking a taste of there "snow cone." At least it was clean snow.

Silly sisters!

Do I need to explain?

Dec 2nd Update

We've been super busy lately! Our week nights are filled with dance classes, Life Group meetings, fun times with friends and just trying to catch up after a long day. We also traveled to Clarence for Thanksgiving. Now I am trying to get our Christmas decorations up. I haven't had time to blog.

Here are a couple recent pics of the girls:

Pumpkin Carving

We had some fall family fun at the lake last weekend. We went to Webbs and picked out pumpkins and then carved them. We also took rides on Grandpa's new 4 wheeler and a nice walk.

MUMS 2009

Every year I take a picture of the girls with the mums in our front flower bed. It is awesome to see how they have grown! They were little hams this year!

Dance Class

Zoey and Delaney both started taking dance at a new studio this year, Amy Earle in Carthage. They both love it! Delaney is in the toddler class. They do a couple simple dances, some tumbling, the parachute and an obstacle course. It is very cute to watch! Zoey is taking Jazz this year. They are already working on a routine to It's a Hard Knock Life from Annie. I can tell she is enjoying the class!

Here are some pictures from Delaney's class. Her friends Evie, Danielle and Annabelle are in the class too.

Apple Picking!

Delaney, my mom and I went apple picking at Behlings Orchard this week. The weather was questionable but we decided to go anyway. It turned out to be a pretty nice fall day. Delaney had a great time pulling the wagon and picking apple with Grandma. I also got some great pictures of her in the pumpkin patch.

I wanted to let Zoey miss a day of school so she could come too but some of my family members shot that idea down. So, I tried to keep 30lbs of apples a secret but it didn't last for long. This was her reaction to missing out on the trip. It broke my heart! I promised her a special treat when we go to the cider mill this weekend.

It's Fall!

The weather is getting cooler and the leaves are starting to change color. We took a crisp walk this morning with Grandma & Grandpa down by the river.

This last picure was taken right before Zoey slipped, covered herself in mud and almost fell into the river. She was not pleased to say the least! We all survived though.

Zoey's 1st day of Kindergarten!

Zoey had her first day of Kindergarten today. The week leading up to this was stressful but the first day went awesome! Zoey really likes her new teacher (she got switched to a new class two days before school started so it wasn't who we met at orientation), thought all the activities they did were amazing and made a bunch of new friends. Of course she was most excited about seeing her best friend Ashlee on the playground at recess.
These pictures are of her waiting out for the bus in the morning. I'm so glad she went to pre-k and had no fear or riding the bus or going to school.

Zach had to go to his own class so he couldn't be there to watch her get on the bus. He left her a nice note on the front porch though. It says "Happy first days of school -Love Daddy."

I wore a similar red jumper my first day of Kindergarten. When I saw this one I couldn't resist.

I am so proud of my brave little girl!

She left at 8am and got home at 4pm. It was a long day but she was excited to get up and go again tomorrow.
